I have never boxed before. Can
I still join the gym?
Yes! Most of our members are people just like you who want
to get into shape, get strong, and have fun.
Can women join the boxing classes?
Yes! Our boxing classes are 50/50 men to women.
Do you have weights?
Yes! Our gym has a full weight training
facility and cardio
machines.
Can I try a class for free?
Sure! Come on down and try your first class on us. Just mention
the our Web site.
What should I wear?
Whatever you feel most comfortable in is the best clothing
to wear--this ain't a fashion show. Just be prepared for
the workout of your life.
Do I need special equipment?
If you have boxing gloves, bring them. If not, we have
clean hand wraps and glove rentals for only $3.
Do I have to box other people at the gym? I don't want to
get hit.
No, not if you don't want to. Only a small percentage of
our clientele actually compete in boxing. Sparring is optional.
What are my payment options?
Our prices are similar to gyms, but 1/3 the price of fight
schools. We also have fitness center memberships. When
you come in for your trial workout, we can go over the options.
What do the classes/workouts consist of? What do the classes
include?
The classes are all full-body workouts that consist of all
interval, strength and plyometric-(explosiveness) intense
training exercises. The classes are instructed by pro fighters,
fight trainers, and trainers with many years of boxing and
fitness experience.
What's included with a membership?
With a boxing membership, you have an opportunity to participate
in seven different classes a week. Some are A.M. times,
some are P.M. times. If you commit to 3 months of boxing
($195), you also receive an Open Gym Membership which includes
full use of everything in our facility for 3 months. What
a deal!
Do I have to box to join the gym?
Absolutely NOT! We have a complete workout facility with weights,
exercise machines, and cardio-fitness equipment. We have
month-to-month memberships, 6-month memberships, and 1-year
memberships as well.
I don't have much weight training experience. Can you help
me get started?
You bet! Our gym is loaded with knowledge about fitness. We
have personal trainers who give private lessons. We can design
a fitness program especially for you.
I don't feel comfortable in a class setting. Do you provide
any other options for people who want to learn boxing but
not in a group atmosphere?
Absolutely! We have private and semi-private boxing lessons.
Do you offer amateur boxing training?
Yes! We had one Golden Glove champion and one semi finalist
in 2005.
Why should I chose your facility over others in the area?
We offer a clean, no-nonsense, high-energy
approach to fitness. We are a specialized facility. This
means the programs that we do offer are fine-tuned so that
your goals can be reached in less time. We realize
we can't be everything to every body. If you're looking
for something different, check us out.
I'm most interested in losing weight and getting in great
shape. Is M.A.C. the right gym for me?
You bet! Everyone who trains consistently with us sees dramatic
results. You will have a great time. Visiting M.A.C. will
become your hobby, so that losing weight becomes secondary.
Will I learn to box/kickbox?
Yes! Not overnight, but we teach techniques gradually through
hour-long intense classes. You'll never get bored, you'll
get into the best shape of your life, and--at the same time--you'll
learn self defense from professionals.
Do you have fighting and full-contact classes?
Yes. Check out the schedule or inquire at the front desk.
We have at least four workouts each week and three Jiu Jitsu
classes each week.
What kinds of classes do you have?
We offer boxing, kick boxing, Jiu Jitsu, mixed martial arts,
wrestling, sports conditioning, speed training, amateur boxing, and sparring.
What if I have no interest in fighting and/or boxing?
That's alright. About 99% of our clients have no interest
in fighting. Our program is for people who are tired of
the same old gym scene, who are bored, and/or are not seeing
results. We train you like a fighter (minus the headaches).
It's a full-body workout (head to toe). If consists of interval
training, strength training, and explosive training. Our
workouts will be your new best friend. |
